Minutes for the January 13, 2012 Meeting of RMFCP

At the January meeting,
business was discussed and a
Sketch to Show class was led by Dave Privett.
Here is a little glimpse on what we did!!

Members present: Dave Privett, June Privett, Peter Wray, Laura Wray, Brian Nelson, and Margaret Nelson.

o Changes to meetings: meetings will now be held on Friday evenings and will include meals from 6:30-7pm. This will be our time to share, pray,fellowship; followed by business/fun from 7-8:45pm.
o Next meeting: Friday, February 10 Due to the machines needed during the ongoing Sketch to Show class, we will meet at Dave and June's home for
meal to be Mexican food. Main Course: Nelson; Dessert: Wray; Sides: Privett.
(Food allergy alert: onions, avocados, and kiwi on the side, please!)
***Call for directions/questions, etc. If you are unable to bring food, bring paper products. Drinks are BYOB (beverage).
o March meeting, March 3 (also at Dave and June's. completing Sketch to Show.)
Meal to be Italian. Main: Wray; Dessert: Nelson; Sides: Privett.

o April meeting: Friday, 4/28 at the CMS Regionals at the First Church of Nazarene. Includes all day on Saturday also. More info. to come. Families welcome. (We are working on their group rates so will get a head count at Feb.meeting)

Upcoming Events:
o Muppet Movie-Peter will check the dates and showings for the film at Cinema Grill. Families welcome and BYOP (bring your own puppet)
o National Day of Puppetry-April 28-29 (we will be attending the CMS for the weekend, see above)
o Simpich Showcase-"Firebird" We will be meeting in Old Town Colorado Springs at noon for lunch before the 2:30 matinee performance on March 4th. Families welcome! (June is going to look into group rates/ticketing. Hopefully getting a headcount at the FEB meeting.)
o 2nd Annual Day of Puppetry-9/15/12.Will be running the program that was set for 2011 with a little tweaking. More at Feb. meeting.
o Puppet Jam-10/12/12. More info. TBA.
